Lindsey Covington Ryan Lindsey grew up in Halifax and has always had a passion for the arts. She studied at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill receiving a BA in Painting and Printmaking and later attended Virginia Commonwealth University where she received a BFA in Interior Design. She spend 20 years working as an interior designer with architects and design firms throughout Virginia. She also taught Design and Art at the college level for 4 years. Charlottesville was home for Lindsey and her family for most of her adulthood. While there, she continued her design work and also spent more than 20 years teaching art in the Charlottesville City Schools. In retirement she has returned to her hometown. As she joins her Halifax community, she enjoys painting, gardening, reading and is a member of several community organizations.
