Carolyn Krempl A native of northern Illinois, Carolyn
moved to Halifax county in 1973.She is a graduate of the University of
Illinois and has an M.Ed from the University of Virginia. She is a
retired gifted specialist having taught nearly forty years in Illinois
and Halifax County. Throughout her career she has taught elementary
grades, art, music, and drama. Carolyn has also written
curriculum. She has been a workshop consultant to faculties and parents
throughout the state, served on the Virginia Advisory Committee for
Gifted Education and the Virginia Consortium for Administrators of
Gifted Programs and the Virginia Association for the Education of the
Gifted (past president and executive board). Krempl currently serves as
chairman of Parsons Bruce Art Association. She and her husband Bob, a
local dentist, raised their two sons in Halifax County and now live
lakeside in Buffalo Junction. She enjoys reading, travel, and especially
spending time with her three granddaughters. |
