Betty Caldwell Betty is a native of Halifax County, VA.
She graduated from Radford University with a BS degree in Art Education
and taught art K-12 for 31 years in Halifax County Public Schools. After
one year of retirement she taught 5 years at Bethel Hill Charter in
North Carolina, K-6. Throughout her career Betty has also taught many
winter and summer art classes for adults and children for Parsons-Bruce
Art Association. She is an active member of First Baptist Church, South
Boston Garden Club, and served on the board of the local museum. Along
with Betty’s love of painting and drawing, her hobbies are golf,
playing bridge, reading, gardening, and most importantly spending time
with her two granddaughters. Betty is married to Jack Caldwell, a native
of South Boston, and they have two daughters.
