Susan Stanley Susan was born in Richmond, VA and lived
in the Northern Neck of Virginia, (Kilmarnock) as well as spending high
school years in Indiana and Wyoming. She returned to Virginia to attend
the University of Virginia to earn a BSN, fulfilling a childhood dream
of becoming an RN. Susan worked in Richmond, VA at the Medical College
of Virginia and in the Richmond Public Schools. Stanley moved to Halifax
County in 1979. There, with husband, Dennis, a radiologist at Halifax
Regional Hospital, raised three children and enjoyed volunteering with
the hospital auxiilary, blood mobile, Good Samaritan, school system, Boy
and Girl Scouts of America, and other clubs and community organizations.
Susan is an active member at Beth Carr Baptist Church. She has always
been interested in the arts and appreciative of the talents of
others-especially the talent in our local community. Currently she
enjoys antiquing for a booth at Toots Creek, reading, walking and
spending time with six grandchildren. |
